Covid-19 Information

Coronovirus Protocol

Because many of my clients are already immune-compromised, I will be reinforcing already strict health and safety protocols.I have taken a course titled "LMT's Guide to OSHA and CDC Recommendations" and will be following that protocol, as well as guidance from Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, the State of Pennsylvania.   Please be assured I have and will always continue to making sure everyone is safe and healthy here at A Body Balanced Massage Therapy.

Dear CLIENT:

I hope this finds you and your family in good health.  While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: my commitment to your safety and health.

By its very nature, massage and bodywork requires skin-to-skin contact and you should be familiar with the fact that infection control has always been a top priority for my practice.  As we navigate life with additional requirements and modify existing measures due to the coronovarius, please help me to support all of my clients by cooperating with some new requirements.

My practice follows Practice Guidelines recommended by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), along with infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment.  I made these changes to help protect my clients and myself.

Implementation Procedures:

Face masks will be utilized in treatment room to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Clients are asked to wear face mask when entering the front door.

My treatment room will still be warm and "cozy" but more spartan in decor:)  Following stringent sanitation protocols between each client is critical. I will be using EPA-certified disinfectants on all surfaces, doorknobs, lights, chairs, etc., that a client might have touched.

There will still be the use of essential oils, mellow music, heated towels, table warmer . . . "rest and digest" is on the table.

A waterproof table cover will be added for easy cleaning, and linens, blankets, towels, etc. will be changed out at the end of each session. Clean laundry will be stored in the drawers, and "used" laundry will be stored outside of the treatment room.

I will continue wearing a mask throughout the duration of treatment.

Stagger client appointments so there is no more than one client at a time in common areas and to ensure for ample time to prepare for, and take care of, each client and treatment area.

Intake forms, waivers, client policy statement, and physician authorization forms will be emailed. Treatment goals/needs communicated ahead of session, and limiting “table talk”. So just relax, release, and restore:)

Check-out will be conducted within the Treatment Room after Session.

Cancellation Policy - there is no penalty if you wake up with cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms and need to cancel on day of, notify me as soon as possible.

My goal is to be as transparent, safe, and effective in treatment for you as possible. Compassion and communication, and maybe a little humor, will get us through this together .

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call/text me at 267-371-3551.

Stay Safe and Healthy - Remember Self Care!
